The last year has seen an increased screen time, the meal schedules became erratic and having unhealthy snacks increased by a big number. The whole work from home or study from home has boosted our frequency of snacking and many of us have been stress eating fried/unwholesome foods. In the long run, this can be harmful to your body.
To break away from this vicious cycle, move away from calorie-laden snacks to nutritious snacks like almonds, fresh seasonal fruit and yogurt. Almonds are a healthy snack as they are a great source of nutrients, and has a number of benefits like weight management, diabetes management, heart health, and skin health. Practice mindful snacking along with working out which will also help in weight management. Some of the best ways to manage stress are by practicing mindful meditation, as mentioned before as well, regularly exercising, listen to soothing music, get the right amount of sleep and most importantly, eat well. Start eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and food items that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, like salmon. Dark green leafy vegetables in particular are brain-protective and supplement this with a handful of nuts such as almonds.
