Eating right in 2021, Hy-Vee has tips that can help you stay motivated

A lot of 2021 New Year’s Resolutions circle around dieting or being healthy. Hy-Vee is gearing up with nutrition plans to help with those goals. Hy-Vee’s recipe page is full of healthy dishes, but there are other options that are more in-depth. Throughout January, Hy-Vee is hosting hour-long webinars called, 21 Tips for 2021. Participants in Dietician Discovery sessions get one-on-one time with a registered dietician that matches plans with each person’s needs. Registered dietician Shelly Asplin said a healthy eating program can help even if it’s not in person. “I love doing virtual consultations, because the person is in their home, and they’re asking about a certain product and I can say, ‘Go grab something out of your cupboard, and let’s look at the nutrition facts label,'” Asplin said. Asplin said once shoppers know what they are looking for they are more likely to choose healthier options. She recommends these healthy eating plans to people with health conditions like diabetes and heart problems.
