In India, 1 out of 6 couples in urban India battles the issue of infertility, which has a bearing on the social, emotional, and physical health of the couple and the consequences are harsher on women. During this process, the mature eggs are collected from the ovaries of the mother and then fertilized with the sperm in a laboratory. After the transfer of the embryo, it is important to take medications prescribed by the doctor on time and in the right doses.

These medications are given to support the embryo during its growth. Not taking medicines in the right amount and on time can result in bleeding and may lead to failure of implantation.

2. Staying active:

It is important to stay active after the embryo transfer. It is ideal to indulge in any type of exercise or physical activity for 45 minutes to 60 minutes every day to keep the body active and maintaining good body weight.

Being overweight or underweight can adversely impact conceiving through IVF.

3. Lifestyle changes:

Making positive lifestyle changes can positively influence the IVF cycle. Smoking, drinking, eating junk foods should be permanently eliminated to avoid complications and reduce the success of IVF.

Studies have shown regular exercising and maintaining good diets can boost the success rate of IVF.

4. Protect yourself from infections:

It is extremely important to avoid contracting infections. It is advised to reduce contact with family members or people who are suffering from any type of bacterial, fungal, or viral infections to avoid any risk of contracting them.

Outside food should also be avoided to ensure there is no possibility of developing stomach infections.

5. Manage stress and staying positive:

IVF can be a long process for some couples. During this phase, patients need to stay calm and think positive. Meditating, listening to calming music and doing some light exercises can help in managing stress and helping couples enjoy the IVF journey.

Besides following the tips, it is also essential for pregnant mothers to constantly get monitored throughout their IVF cycles by skilled experts. This reduces the chances of developing pregnancy complications and aids healthy pregnancy.
