What To Know About The UFC Fighter’s Partner
Even the most fierce competitors in the world have a soft side. It’s kind of crazy to see an athlete go from being an absolute savage while competing to becoming a big old teddy bear when reunited with their family. Conor McGregor is one of the most offensive fighters on the planet, but even he can be romantic at times. While we know a lot about his life in the octagon, there’s plenty we don’t know about McGregor’s love life. With that being said, let’s learn more about Conor McGregor and his fiancee Dee Devlin.
Dee Devlin isn’t Conor McGregor’s wife just yet
McGregor and Devlin have been together since 2008. The couple has three children and plan to get married soon.
They met at a night club in Ireland when Conor was just 19 years old. McGregor described first meeting Devlin to VIP Magazine saying “I asked her to come over and we just started chatting. She seemed like a nice girl, and I like good girls.”
On the topic of McGregor’s romantic side, Devlin says “I suppose he is romantic…he has good intentions! He does surprise me with cooking, making healthy food for me, which is lovely!”

What makes their relationship a little extra special is that the two met prior to McGregor’s success. At the time of their introduction, McGregor had just quit his job as a plumber to pursue a mixed martial arts career. Devlin has supported Conor from the start. She would drive him to the gym to train and listen to him talk about his dreams of becoming a successful fighter.
When asked why he fights, McGregor said “I’m doing this to secure my family’s future and Dee’s future. One day, I want myself and Dee to be able to chill on a beach and not have any worry in the world.”
Well, McGregor did just that, making millions from stemming from his UFC career.

McGregor’s life is a true rags to riches story. Up until his MMA debut, he was on welfare, collecting $235 a week from the Irish government. Today he boasts an estimated net worth of $200 million. The majority of his money came from his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, but he also sold his whiskey brand, Proper No. 12, for $200 million.

He and his fiancee say that they believe in the law of attraction, so It’s pretty crazy to see McGregor’s vision come into fruition. McGregor believed that he could be one of the richest fighters in the world and it happened, just as he imagined it.
Conor McGregor’s height difference with his future wife
According to his website, McGregor is five-foot-eight, which is two inches taller than Devlin. While height difference doesn’t actually matter, it is for some reason something people ask about. At five-foot-eight, McGregor is just one inch under the average height for men while Devlin is two inches above the average for women.

McGregor’s UFC record and what’s next after fight with Dustin Poirier
At the moment, McGregor has a 22-5-0 record in the UFC. On July 21st he has a chance to avenge his most-recent loss against Dustin Poirier. In addition to his rematch with Poirier, McGregor plans to fight Nate Diaz again as well.
McGregor plans on finishing the “trilogies” against both fighters saying “Me and Dustin are now 1-1. Myself and Nate [Diaz] are 1-1. There are many good matchups for me, and I’ll adopt a different approach for the trilogy with Dustin.”

As for his personal life, well, McGregor is just getting started. He has three young children to raise and a fiancee to marry. Judging by everything he has said about Devlin, it looks like the two will have a long and happy life together.
The saying “behind every great man is an even stronger woman” rings extra true with McGregor and Devlin. One thing McGregor said about his fiancee that really stands out is that he “wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for her, and that’s for sure. I’m doing all of this for her.”
While even Rated-R movies don’t use some of the vulgar language that Conor uses while promoting his fights, McGregor’s relationship with Devlin is very similar to one that you would see in a movie. Struggling fighter meets girl, girl believes in struggling fighter – struggling fighter becomes a champion and the two live happily ever after.
