If you’re feeling like thank goodness it’s Friday eve, hear! hear!: TGI Friday’s has pulled off some marketing acrobatics by partnering with Ringmaster Alfonso Ribeiro to introduce a circus-inspired springtime menu, according to a press release. It’s a little over-the-top, but if you practice restaurant nutrition wisdom, you just might want to line up to play.
After a downer of a year, TGI Friday’s knows how to make a spectacle of a meal. The one-of-a-kind, good-time franchise seems to get that everybody needs a little extra excitement right now, hence, this new, limited-time menu that will be served at all of the restaurant chain’s participating locations (and some are even featuring tents outside with circus-themed events) throughout June 2021. It’s freakishly fun… even if the nutrition facts need some serious attention.

TGI Friday’s new “Under the Big Top” menu features item like:
- An Amazing Blazing Pound of Cheese Fries (yes, that’s a pound)
- A Flaming Donut Chicken Sandwich (a filet of spicy chicken between two donuts, raised and glazed—available in a burger version, too)
- Ooey Gooey Mozz Stick Melter (which is, well, basically a pile of mozzarella sticks sandwiched between two buttery grilled slabs of bread)
- Giant Churro Twists (emphasis on “Giant”)
The restaurant chain’s new menu also includes several new drinks: a Red Bull Strawberry Lemon Slush (which we suspect could give you “wiiings”… as well as the ability to lift a car singlehandedly—a circus feat in itself), as well as a Fire-Eating Fireball Margarita and a Cotton Candy Cosmo.
Alas, the Cotton Candy Cosmo is not available for takeout, and none of the items on this limited menu are showing nutrition information. (For comparison’s sake, know that TGI Friday’s Signature Whiskey Glazed Burger dish tips the scales at 1,110 calories without the donut buns…)
We don’t have to tell you that the circus is fun, but these calorie bombs are quite the opposite for your body with fat, sugar, cholesterol, and sodium galore. Still, it may be fun to swing by for one of these indulgences.
