The healthy shake/smoothie shop in downtown Logansport has changed with spring | News
As the regulars know, the healthy shake shop that was known as Fuel Good Nutrition has gone through some changes, including new owners and a new name.
Starting May 10, the store at 212 N. 6th St. in Logansport became 365 Nutrition, owned by Stefani and Dave Scharland.
The store offers the same meal replacement shakes and supplemental drinks, but they offer more tea types than Fuel Good owner Abby McGlashen, including ones without caffeine.
The shop offers a meal replacement shake — or smoothie — system using Herbalife-based products.
It’s a three-step process for each order.
It starts with a shot of flavored aloe, then on to a type of tea, which is called a teabomb, also in multiple flavors.
The last part is a choice of one of from than 68 flavors of healthy shakes.
The flavors include blueberry cheesecake, brownie batter, caramel corn, banana split, mojito, thin mint and PB and jelly.
The Scharlands aren’t changing the shake menu that McGlashen instituted, although the tea bombs they’ve added include non-caffeinated varieties.
And if customers don’t like the shake they ordered, the Scharlands will make them a new one.
“I guarantee there’ll be a flavor up there you like,” Stefani said.
Every shake she posts photo of on social media in the morning is her breakfast, and she is an ardent user of her own products.
She had gotten her family on the system about three years ago, after she was told by a health professional that she was burning calories like a 63-year-old.
Stefani was 30 at the time.
After they all went on the system, the whole family lost weight, she said.
From there, going into serving the meal replacement drinks to others seemed logical.
“I always wanted to own my own business,” she said.
This is the second store the family has opened, the first being in Columbia City on Oct. 1, 2019.
They wanted to expand from the first.
“We were looking for a new location,” said Stefani. “We were struggling to find one. So when we heard she wanted out, we decided to come down here and see what we could do.”
McGlashen, who originally opened Fuel Good in September 2019, said in late April that she was relocating to Tennessee.
The store was closed from May 1 to May 10 as the change in ownership happened.
But since then, business has been good, and the customers range from middle school and high schools age to others old enough to the parents or grandparents of the younger ones.
“We’re getting a great mixture of all ages right now,” Stefani said. “We are very happy with it. We are loving the community.”
The Scharland family has redone some of the décor in the place — mostly wall art — but plans to decorate more.
First they’ll add more wall art.
“It’ll be inspiration quotes because I’m all about inspiration quotes,” said Stefani.
They also want to put in signs and probably paint the place’s name on the front picture windows.
More furniture inside the shop will come later, a mixture of chairs and tables and easy chairs, such as the one already there.
