Royal cheer continues to flood the air, with the happy news that Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world on Tuesday.

The royal babe, who is yet to be named, is the couple’s first child and was born at around 9 am at The Portland Hospital in London, weighing in at a healthy 8lbs 1oz.

The Royal Family released an official statement saying: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.

“This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child, The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York’s first grandchild, and the ninth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

But, while the new baby is now Queen Elizabeth’s ninth great-grandchild and is technically eleventh in line to the throne, he won’t actually have a royal title.

Her baby’s lack of royal statis doesn’t mean that Eugenie didn’t get to have an exceptionally royal birth, however. In fact, the new mum gave birth in the same hospital as Meghan Markle (side note: also the place where Eugenie herself was born).

The Portland Hospital is known as one of London’s most luxurious private birthing suites, offering world-class maternity facilities and is the only private hospital with an on-site neonatal intensive care unit.

One night’s stay at the centre will cost a hefty penny though, ranging anywhere between £6,760 to £500,000, varying on how many visitors the expectant parents-to-be choose to have during their stay.

An average night will set you back around a whopping £20,000, a pretty large sum, especially considering Kate Middleton’s stay at the Lindo Wing was reportedly around £7,075 per night.

But back to Eugenie’s luxe suite and all its amenities. I’m not going to lie, this place looks like heaven. In photos shared on their website, the maternity deluxe suite looks like you’re checking into a five star hotel.

Offering everything from champagne to fine dining, with on site chefs ready to cook any meal you desire served on silver platters, The Portland also offers a separate bed for your partner to sleep, not to mention round the clock care for your newborn.

Oh, and you can get in-house photoshoots of your newborn and casts of your wee one’s hands and feet. They’ve truly thought of it all.

While only a few details have been revealed about the couple’s first child, one thing we do know is that one of royal baby’s first gifts would have been a toy Panda, which has become an iconic present for every new baby born at the hospital (along with champagne, not for the babies of course).

Just, how cute is this little guy?

I mean, pregnant or not, this place sounds like a little slice of paradise. I’d happily take a room.
