NFL World Reacts To The Saquon Barkley News

New York Giants fans woke up to some big Saquon Barkley news on Monday morning.

According to a report from Paul Schwartz of the New York Post, the superstar running back is set to return to the Giants this week.

Barkley, who missed most of the 2020 season with a torn ACL injury, is reportedly set to come off the PUP list.

“Saquon is back. Star running back set to come off PUP list and begin practicing with the Giants this week,” Schwartz reported on Monday morning.

That is pretty huge news for Barkley and the Giants. It was unclear if the running back would be ready in time for Week 1. However, it appears he’s on track to start the regular season with the rest of his teammates.

The NFL world can’t wait to see Barkley back in action.

NFL Network reported earlier this month that Week 3 was a likely target date for Barkley’s return. However, the running back was not ruling out a Week 1 return.

Barkley is one of the most exciting players in the National Football League when healthy. Hopefully we’ll see him back at 100 percent very soon.

New York is scheduled to open the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 12 against the Denver Broncos.
