Fans All Said The Same Thing About Najee Harris During Steelers-Cowboys Game
On Thursday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys took the field for the first game of the 2021 season.
Well, kind of. The Steelers and Cowboys faced off in the Hall of Fame Game – the first preseason game of the new season. While it’s not as sexy as a regular season game, it does highlight the fact that (real) football is close.
When the game first kicked off, the Steelers gave the Cowboys a healthy does of rookie running back Najee Harris. Whether via a handoff or a short pass, the Steelers used their first-round pick early and often.
It quickly became a little too much for the fans watching at home who want Najee to stay healthy for the 2021 season.
Here’s some of the reaction from around the social media world.
The Steelers will be leaning heavily on the running game during the 2021 season. After struggling to move the ball during the 2020 campaign, Pittsburgh has placed a clear emphasis on attacking from the ground.
Of course, Harris will be getting the bulk of those carries so fans want to make sure he’s healthy and ready to go when Week 1 kicks off.
Thankfully, the Steelers made the decision to remove Harris from the game late in the second quarter.
