Dubai 2040 Master Plan logo shines across Dubai landmarks
The city of Dubai gleamed in happiness last Saturday as the Master Plan 2040 was unveiled before the world. The proud Emiratis’ heads held high as they took the first step towards a better future.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday, launched the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan speaks of sustainable urban development of the city, high-tech infrastructure, best living standards among others. The futuristic goals panned by the Sheikh promises vision for the next two decades, focusing on enhancing people’s happiness and quality of life.
As soon as the news was unveiled, Burj Khalifa was lighted up in celebrations. The building’s fountain also put up a beautiful show in tandem with the building lightening up.
And now, that work for Vision 2040 is on, the city’s prominent landmark displays the Dubai 2040 Master Plan logo. Like a proud memento, various places in the city, from the city’s busy corners to the world’s tallest hotel Burj Al-Arab, the logo has been displayed everywhere.
The year 2020 marks Dubai’s 50 years and the launch of Master Plan 2040 initiates the beginning of progress of the next 50 years. The new strategy envisions upgrading Dubai’s urban areas and making it the best city to live in the world. Some of the main focus would be on building the efficiency of resource utilisation, developing vibrant, healthy and inclusive communities, and doubling green and leisure areas as well as public parks to provide a healthy environment for residents and visitors.
