Activities offered on MLK Day
Sangertown Square will be offering family friendly activities and special deals from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. These include specials on bar bites at PiNZ and Unlimited Cage time sessions — reservations required — at Blue Sox Academy. Masks and social distancing continue to be required to enter the property, and guests are required to follow the center’s Healthy Shopper Guidelines.

Grief Survivors meetings set
The Good News Center offers nondenominational Grief Survivors sessions via Zoom from 6 to 7:30 p.m. every other Tuesday to help those suffering the loss of a loved one.

PAL offers support for families
The Good News Center offers PAL — Parents of Addicted Loved Ones — meetings to provide hope through education and confidential peer support for parents and other family members dealing with addicted loved ones.
PAL is a national organization founded in Arizona by a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor. The group will be led by Michelle Holliday, who has been trained by PAL.
Some of the topics covered are addiction cycle, traits and behaviors, delayed emotional growth and the role of family and enabling behaviors.
