Be Kind Partners with The Healthy Animal Partner for Cat Food, Supplies Drive for Animal Shelter
ROBBINSVILLE, NJ — To help meet the needs of the cats currently under the care of the Hamilton Township Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, the area non-profit Be Kind is partnering with The Healthy Animal of Robbinsville for a donation collection of cat food, kitty litter, cat toys and supplies. The Center recently announced that the shelter had a busy month during which a large number of cats were brought in. Items on the shelter’s donation wish list are dry and wet cat food, kitty litter, cat toys, treats, cat nip, towels, small blankets, beds, and cat carriers,
“It’s been a way to bring like-minded people together for charitable initiatives, to create lasting change in their lives and communities,” said Cindy Rosen, secretary of Be Kind. “In the past 10 months we have held several End Hunger community meal packing and fundraising events resulting in over 60,000 non-perishable meals donated to local food banks and pantries in the Mercer County area.”
“This new partnership with The Healthy Animal of Robbinsville will help expand our anti-hunger mission to include beloved feline companions,” added Be Kind volunteer Kim Swartz.
The donation drive will run until Tuesday, June 8.
